Week 1:Reflection

Hi everybody!! It is fun to be working with blogs again, after 3 years.
Actually I started to work with blogs in 2006 and I was using them a lot, but suddenly without any reason I stopped using them in my clasess. And now, It has been nice to be back on track again, trying to remember things that I have forgotten.
So, I am eager to start posting again!!

  1. Hi, it was nice going through your reflection of the week-l post, I would like to know how do you really use the blog in teaching? Please clear r my doubt.

    1. Hi, Pema.

Indeed, I used the blog for different purposes.
On the one hand, I was posting all my classes with the corresponding instruction in my blog beforehand, and I activated the lesson the same day of the class, so when I started every lesson I asked my students to see the objective of the class and the instructions for that particular lesson.
It fulfilled the purpose because my students knew exactly what they had to do, and I could monitor their work, since I had all their blog addresses saved in my blog.
Concerning the activities, They varied depending on the class I was teaching.
Sometimes they had to answer questionnaires, in other classes they had to create exercises and post them in their blogs, or write about agreeing or disagreeing on a topic with a limited number of words.
I also asked them to create: a magazine in Youblisher, grammar exercises in wallwisher ( padlet now), and hot potatoes.

I hope this can clarify your doubt.
      Thanks.

  4. Hello Laura: It seems you have used blogs for many great ideas in the past. Sometimes it is good to *not* use a technique or technology for awhile, then return to it later, only to rediscover it. Sometimes that is when I find new uses or ways to implement these things. Anyway, glad to have you back in the blogosphere! -Robert
